Fire Pump Maintenance Master Class Workshop - Atlanta - Feb 28 - Mar 2, 2023

This class is for the experienced Fire Pump Service Technician (5+ years), and combines instructional review of fire pump mechanics with fire pump maintenance and servicing and lab exercises to help students understand the operation and maintenance of fire pumps.

• Review fire pump components with relation to entire fire protection system
• Learn appropriate examination methods to identify fire pump system issues/problems – Be able to resolve using the learned methods
• Diagnose system issues (i.e., false starts, controllers (electrical and diesel)) – Learn the top 10 problems – Be able to determine when to fix and when to contact manufacturer/field expert
• Provide In-depth pump servicing – determining when and how to address:
  - Bearings w/repair
  - Packing w/repair
  - Internal inspections
• Understand and perform Annual NFPA 25 Pump System Requirements services, including:
  - Engine servicing
  - Flow testing
  - Alignment – learning the pros and cons of each method of alignment
• Learn and perform annual services of diesel driven engines and identify common problems/issues specifically related to diesel engines.
